Illicitly Manufactured Fentanyl in the U.S.—Trends and Truths


In recent years, illicitly manufactured fentanyl and fentanyl analogs have flooded illicit drug markets in the United States, resulting in an increase in the number of overdoses. In response to the increase of fentanyl in the drug supply, some guidance has mistakenly indicated that touching fentanyl, even an amount as small as a few grains of sand, can lead to overdose and even death following dermal absorption. This webinar will cover the trends researchers are seeing with fentanyl and dispel some of the misinformation surrounding the topic.
