South Correctional Entity "SCORE" Whole-Person Care

How can jails incorporate social services and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) programs into their current services to assist individuals with opioid use disorders (OUDs) while serving short stays in jail and upon reentry?

This webinar is the third in a series highlighting MAT programs across the country. It features the MAT program at South Correctional Entity (SCORE), a regionally owned jail in Des Moines, Washington.  Presenters describe how SCORE links individuals to tailored case management; job skills training; MAT, which includes cognitive behavioral therapy; and comprehensive wrap-around services prior to release from jail and as individuals reenter their communities. SCORE uses an inclusive approach to address various barriers to care.

Learn how SCORE transformed its services to better meet the needs of individuals and how services such as telehealth, peer recovery specialists, linkages to reentry services, and addressing co-occurring disorders are of benefit to individuals.
