COSSAP’s purpose—to provide financial and technical assistance to states, units of local government, and Indian tribal governments to plan, develop, and implement comprehensive efforts to identify, respond to, treat, and support those impacted by substance use disorder —has a national scope. The COSSAP Data Visualization Tool identifies the communities, states, territories, and regions that are included in the COSSAP initiative’s site-based program and gives an overview of the activities undertaken by the grant recipients. The tool’s components provide overall views of the data while also allowing users to drill down to see more granular information about a specific site. The data visualization tool enables interested persons to see the types of agencies that received funds, where those agencies are located, the projects and activities that are being done at each site, and site profiles. The goal of the COSSAP Data Visualization Tool is to promote and increase transparency, collaboration, and data sharing among COSSAP sites, partner agencies, and officials.
